Donation From Singapore Community In Brunei Darussalam To Victims Of Flooding In Tutong And Temburong

The Singapore community in Brunei Darussalam has generously raised $24000 in donations to provide support and help for residents of the Tutong and Temburong districts adversely affected by floods and landslides as a result of the torrential rains earlier this year.  These donations are a gesture of the deep concern and sympathy of all members of the Singapore community for the flood victims.  The Singapore community in Brunei Darussalam, as responsible and long-standing members of Bruneian society, remain committed to and stands ready to support the well-being of its friends, partners and neighbours in Brunei.


On behalf of the donors, Mr Lim Hong Huai, High Commissioner of the Republic of Singapore and Dr Patrick Ang, President of the Singapore Association presented their donations to Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Haji Awang Abu Bakar Bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs at the Ministry of Home Affairs on 1 March 2018.  The list of donors is attached at Annex.
